30 Days Self-Discipline Journey Challenge

Hello reader 🙂 I have finally decided to embark on a journey that will change my life forever.
I want to be successful, I know you do as well, but I lack something that is very important. Self-Discipline.
I know that Self-Discipline is an important trait of successful people, however, all my previous attempts to build this useful monster was not fruitful.
I began to search for ways to build self-discipline and I found the 30 Days Self-Discipline Challenge.
The idea is simple; you follow a list of 12 rules for the next 30 days. These rules are not easy but will help in building your self-discipline if you follow through for the whole 30 days.
This is not a gimmick because there are many honest reviews on this challenge online.
One of my rules is to write my results on each day and add it to this post every day so stay tuned.
These are my rules (Please know that every rule has its reasons and benefits, get the book if you want to know).

  • I will only eat 2-3 times every day for the next 30 days
  • I wake before 2 am (I actually tweak this to what I like. The time in the book is 5 am)
  • Take a cold shower in the morning
  • There is no PMO
  • 50 push-ups, 50 squats, 50 sit ups and 50 dumb bells. I do two every day.
  • For the next 30 days, I will only put on any of my best clothes.
  • Keep a daily To Do list that has more than 5 items on it.
  • Walk straight, chest out and look people in the eye.
  • This is privates, sorry.
  • I write 15 blog post every day.
  • I will learn 30 minutes of computer programming every day.
  • Always have the reason why I am doing this so has to keep myself motivated on the challenge.

The willingness is still much around so I did everything I planned to do regardless of how difficult the thing is. I wish to continue like this.
I decided to add something to list of dos and don’ts first the don’ts.
I will stop YouTube for the whole 30 days because that is one of the sites that take away most of my valuable time.
I will put a stop to that but in some cases where I need to add one o to videos to my blog post, I will go there.
The dos
I think having WHAT’S NEXT at the back of my mind every time helps me to focus on my tasks rather than getting carried away.
I discovered this a running into series of forgetfulness that almost cost me some valuable time.
Today I discovered something interesting. There is a Nigerian musician called KWAM 1, there is one part of his song that this 30-day challenge reminds me.
The part is “Act of indiscipline lon de na progress”, meaning that the act of indiscipline is the one that hinders progress.
Progress on comes to those that are disciplined.
I did some research on my business mentor and I discovered his working ethics. I will start working on such ethics as from tomorrow because I am so in love with the kind of success the man had.
I will share the ethics soon but it all comes down to doing what the rest won’t do.
It is insane but that is what counts because if success is easy, everyone will be successful.
I learned many things today, things that I believe will help me to achieve this 30-day challenge and my financial goals.
While I was doing some office work, a nice thought came to my mind. It goes like:
“do you know that pain and laziness are cowards.
Pain is temporary. It does not last long. It can stay for some time but eventually, it will go away and confidence will replace. But if I quit the confidence will not come
Then I remembered the saying that ‘pain is temporary it may last for a minute, an hour, or a day, or even a year but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it will last forever.’”
I already have some tricks I use to fight laziness but something else came up at that moment. “tell yourself and know that you won’t leave this work except one out of two conditions happen:

  • I either finish what I am supposed to do, no matter how long it takes

  • I die doing it

Believe me, these thoughts really helped me and I am going to develop that attitude as from today.
Be willing to die.
